Bob Engel- Founder/Funeral Director

I was born in Brooklyn, New York; immediately after my birth my family relocated to Pine Bush, New York. Being raised in Pine Bush I received most of my education locally. Always desiring to serve people I began my career in the food line where I trained as a food-catering individual; I served in this field for fifteen years. During that fifteen-year span of time I continued my education earning an Associate of Arts Degree from Orange County Community College in Middletown, New York, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Saint Mary's College in Newburgh, New York, a Master of Science Degree in education from SUNY at New Paltz, a certificate of Advanced Study in Administration from SUNY at New Paltz, and finally The American Academy McAllister Institute in Manhatten where I received my funeral director's certificate upon passing the National Boards.

My educational training has provided me with the opportunity to touch numerous lives in a positive, supportive way. As an educator and member of the New York State United Teachers Union, I have served special needs children for thirty-two years with guidance and support. In the area of funeral service I have actively served families for twenty-four years, meeting all their needs by customizing funerals while giving meticulous attention to detail.

During the past twenty-seven years I have resided in Marlboro, New York with my wife, Jo. Jo's family has lived in Marlboro for over sixty years. Together, we have raised and educated two sons in local schools. Rob Jr. and Jon are fifth generation Hudson Valley natives, and are pursuing degrees in higher education in local colleges and universities.

Our future is to provide our families with the highest quality service and funerals at the "most reasonable" cost.
